Itinerary
Day 1 (London)
Welcome to London, a city brimming with history and heritage. Check into Amba Hotel Marble Arch at any time after 3 p.m., then enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure. You'll find plenty of things to do and see right near the hotel, such as the Marble Arch itself. A little farther away, you'll find the Serpentine in Hyde Park and elegant boutiques in Knightsbridge. Alternatively, why not wander along the River Thames to the iconic Tower Bridge and Tower of London?

Day 2 (London to York)
At 7:30 a.m., you’ll meet your Travel Director to begin your journey north to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. Discover how his incredible works continue to shape society today when you visit his childhood home — it’s full of interesting memorabilia and artifacts relating to his life. Continue to historic York to stroll along the narrow lanes, including the Shambles, and view York Minster, England's largest medieval cathedral. Later, join your Travel Director for a warm and friendly welcome dinner and the opportunity to mingle with your fellow DreamTrippers.

Day 3 (York to Edinburgh)
After departing from York, you’ll head off to Edinburgh. Along the way, see a part of Hadrian's Wall, which once spanned about 80 miles (129 kilometers) from coast to coast and marked the northern frontier of the mighty Roman Empire. Continue past Jedburgh Abbey and onward to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, for your 2-night stay in this stunning city.

Day 4 (Edinburgh)
In the morning, join a local expert to see the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of Queen Elizabeth II. You’ll pass the monument honoring Sir Walter Scott on your way to the city’s 18th-century New Town district with its neoclassical architecture and design. Visit Edinburgh Castle to view the firing of the Mons Meg cannon and see the Stone of Destiny, a beloved symbol of Scotland’s monarchy. The afternoon is at your leisure, so the choice of fun is all yours.

Day 5 (Edinburgh to Glasgow)
Today, you’ll traverse the Scottish countryside via historic Bannockburn and Stirling — enjoy the scenery of the Trossachs and Loch Lomond, then arrive in Glasgow for an orientation of the city with your Travel Director. See the grand public buildings, including George Square and Glasgow Cathedral, which is dedicated to the patron saint of the city, St. Mungo.

Day 6 (Glasgow to Lake District)
Travel southward via Gretna Green to the English Lake District, with scenery so beautiful it inspired a host of writers. Learn about the life of William Wordsworth and visit his grave in the picturesque, stone-built village of Grasmere.

Day 7 (Lake District to Cardiff)
Continuing south, you’ll stop in ancient Ludlow, one of England’s most attractive towns surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. Why not spend time exploring the traditional open-air market, admiring the local crafts and perhaps sampling the produce? Afterwards, cross into southern Wales and head for the capital of Cardiff — during an orientation of this lively port city, you'll see Cardiff Castle and the impressive Principality Stadium.

Day 8 (Cardiff to Saltash)
Cross the Severn Bridge back into England and set off to the Georgian city of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage site — its curative waters have been famous since the Roman times. See 15th-century Bath Abbey with angel figures climbing Jacob’s Ladder. Visit the incredibly well-preserved Roman Baths, which remains one of the greatest spas of the ancient world. From Bath, continue to Glastonbury — it’s reputed to be the final resting place of King Arthur and the Holy Grail! — before reaching your hotel in the Cornish countryside.

Day 9 (Saltash)
In the morning, you’ll visit a quaint fishing village. Then, you have an opportunity to choose your own adventure! You can enjoy a nature walk and foraging experience in Dartmoor or take a scenic cruise of the Plymouth harbor to see the historic Barbican area, Royal Citadel, Plymouth Hoe and the Mayflower Steps, the approximate location from which the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America in 1620. Return to your luxe estate-hotel through the hilly countryside and keep watch for Dartmoor’s famous wild ponies. In the evening, join your Travel Director and fellow DreamTrippers for the ultimate farm-to-table dining experience at Heskyn Mill, with a mouth-watering celebration dinner prepared from organic seasonal produce and served with a glass of wine.

Day 10 (Saltash to Stonehenge and London)
Travel across Salisbury Plain to visit the prehistoric and mysterious Stonehenge — these strange and awe-inspiring monoliths are reputed to be up to 5,000 years old. Return to London for a final evening at leisure.

Day 11 (London)
Bid farewell to London as your journey through Great Britain ends this morning.
Check out of the hotel by noon.
